If your background is in science and/or mathematics becoming a judge is a great way to support the CPS Student STEM Exhibition. If you are not a CPS employee fill out the simple CPS volunteer approval form linked below. Then, all prospective judges must fill out the appropriate STEM Exhibition Vounteer Judges form below for the area of judging in which you would like to participate (regional exhibitions, virtual essay, citywide symposium, or citywide exhibition).
CPS Volunteer Approval Form
CPS policy now mandates that ALL prospective volunteers be approved at Level II on a yearly basis. To become an approved volunteer judge, please complete and submit the CPS approval check by following these steps:
- Go to the CPS Volunteer Approval Form here
- Complete all questions
- For "School/Organization" type in "Academic Competitions" and, when the drop-down shows "Academic Competitions", press "Select"
- For "Volunteer Type" select "Level II"
- When asked "Are you volunteering to coach?" answer "NO"
- When asked "Type of volunteer?" select "Corporate/Professional Volunteer"
- When asked "I am interested in volunteering in?" select "Competition Judge"
- When asked "Are you volunteering for a specific day/overnight trip or school club?" select "NO"
- Since approval may take up to 14 days, please complete and submit this application by February 15, 2024. You will be notified when you are approved.

Regional STEM Exhibition Judges
The form to volunteer to judge the Virtual Regional Exhibitions between Saturday, 2/1/2025 and midnight Saturday 2/15/2025 is available here.

Regional Virtual Symposium and/or Virtual Essay Judges
The form to volunteer to judge the Regional Virtual Symposium and/or Virtual Essay between 1/27/25 and 2/17/25 is here.

In-Person Citywide Symposium Judges
Judging Information will be available here in early 2025. CPS Level II approval is required for In-Person judging.
